Questions and answers

Is there parking at Cala Major and when should I arrive?

There is a car park (de.wikipedia), but the fee has not been confirmed. The beach is very busy, so in season morning is better.

Can I get to Cala Major by bus?

The beach is within the city limits of Palma on the Paseo Marítimo, so it is served by city buses. The line number has not been confirmed; check EMT Palma or tib.org.

Is Cala Major good for children?

Spain.info describes the water as calm with small waves, and de.wikipedia reports low waves. Neither source gives the depth near the shore.

Is Cala Major crowded in summer?

Yes, both sources describe visitor numbers as high. The beach measures 200 x 80 m, so it fills up quickly.

Does Cala Major have toilets and a lifeguard?

There are toilets and showers (spain.info), a Red Cross lifeguard, umbrella and sunbed hire, and a café and restaurant (de.wikipedia).
