Sant Antoni and the blessing of animals in Muro

Sant Antoni i beneïdes de Muro

Muro has some of the best-known Sant Antoni celebrations on the island: a round of the devils (dimonis) from 9:00, the Encaldimonis procession, bonfires, a correfoc and a revetla in the evening, and on Saturday the beneïdes (blessing of animals). The Consell de Mallorca has begun the procedure to recognise the Muro beneïdes as an intangible cultural heritage asset (BIC).
