Questions and answers

Where do I park at Mondragó Natural Park and is it paid?

There are two car parks: ses Fonts de n'Alis and s'Amarador. In summer parking is paid and run by a company contracted by the park, and outside the season it is free. CAIB does not give the amounts.

How long should I allow for Mondragó Natural Park?

The park has five marked paths: Mirador de ses Fonts de n'Alis, Volta a sa Guàrdia d'en Garrot, Sa Punta de ses Gatoves, s'Amarador and s'Hort d'en Metge, each taking 15-60 minutes. Half a day is enough for several paths together with the beach.

Can I bring a dog or light a fire in Mondragó Natural Park?

Not fires. Dogs must be on a lead and may not be taken onto the beaches. Drones and fishing along the whole coast of the park are also banned, and there are no rubbish bins, so take your litter with you.

When is Mondragó Natural Park least crowded?

Editorial assessment, not measured: in spring and early autumn and in the morning, before the car parks fill up. In summer the car parks are regulated, which points to heavy traffic. Cala Mondragó beach is only 75 by 60 m, so in season it quickly gets cramped.

How do I get to Mondragó Natural Park by bus?

TIB buses 515, 516 and 517 run to Santanyí; a stop at the park entrances was not confirmed in the data, so check the timetable at tib.org. From Palma it is about an hour by car.
