Llucmajor

The largest municipality on the island by area: a town with markets on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, plus the seaside area of s'Arenal and the Talayotic settlement of Capocorb Vell. It has 40,502 inhabitants (1 January 2025); bus 501 from Palma takes about 27-40 minutes.

What days is the Llucmajor market and what time does it close?

On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, 7:00-13:00, on Plaça d'Espanya (fruit, vegetables, groceries); on Fridays crafts and the mercadet on Carrer del Bisbe Taixequet are added, plus second-hand goods on Passeig de Jaume III. In s'Arenal there is a market from Tuesday to Saturday. The mallorca.com calendar gives Monday, which the Ajuntament website does not confirm.

Where can I park in Llucmajor on market days?

We could not confirm car park names or rates. On market days arrive early (the market starts at 7:00) and park outside the strict centre, because Plaça d'Espanya and nearby streets are taken up by stalls.

How do I get from Palma to Llucmajor without a car?

By TIB bus 501 or 508 from the Intermodal station, about 27-52 min; the 501 has about 71 services in both directions on a weekday and about 57 on Sunday. Line A51 links Llucmajor with the airport.

When is the quietest time to visit Llucmajor?
