Questions and answers

What days is the Alcúdia market on, and what time does it close?

On Tuesdays and Sundays, about 9:00-13:30 (a guidebook rates Sunday as the bigger market). On Fridays there is also a market in Port d'Alcúdia, and in summer an evening market on the promenade.

Where can I park in Alcúdia?

Best outside the walls, then walk in: there is a large unpaved (gravel) car park at Carrer de Pollèntia 106 outside the walls; the website gives no fee, and we could not confirm the names of other car parks. On market days they fill up early, and some spaces are sometimes reserved for residents.

How do I get from Palma to Alcúdia without a car?

By TIB bus 302 from the Intermodal station via Inca, about 50-70 min, with about 48 services between Palma and Alcúdia on a weekday (winter) and about 46 on Sunday. The A33 also runs from Port d'Alcúdia to the airport.

When is the quietest time to visit Alcúdia?

Editorial assessment, not measured: on Wednesdays, Thursdays and out of season; avoid Tuesdays and Sundays (market) and July and August. Guidebooks warn about pickpockets on market days.
