Mirador des Colomer

The first big viewing terrace on the road to Formentor, with cliffs, the islet of Es Colomer and the bay of Pollença. The car park next to it fills up quickly, and in season the whole Ma-2210 road is subject to traffic regulation.

Getting there

  • By car from Palma: about 65 min, 69.9 km (our own measurement on the OSM road network, without traffic; method)
  • The Ma-2210 road from Port de Pollença, after about 4 km (Click Mallorca); by our own OSM measurement from Palma about 70 km and about 65 min without traffic.
  • Parking: A free car park right by the terrace; when it is full, cars park on the right-hand side of the road towards Albercutx. Capacity is judged inadequate.
  • Restrictions: The terrace is on the section of the Ma-2210 that in the 2026 season (15 May-18 October, 10:00-22:00) was subject to DGT traffic regulation (km 2-19.6), details in the record formentor-ograniczenie-wjazdu. The wind can be strong, and tripods need to be secured. There are no facilities on site.

Can I drive to Mirador Es Colomer in season?

The terrace is about 4 km from Port de Pollença on the Ma-2210, which from 15 May to 18 October 2026 was regulated between 10:00 and 22:00. A private car can drive further along the road only until the car park at Formentor beach (km 8) is full. For details and 2027 data see the record formentor-ograniczenie-wjazdu.

Where do I park at Mirador Es Colomer?

There is a free car park right by the terrace, which fills up quickly, especially in summer; when there are no spaces, cars park on the right-hand side of the road towards the Albercutx tower. Arrive early in the morning or visit by TIB bus 334.

How long should I allow for Mirador Es Colomer?

It is a short stop for photos and a view of the cliffs, the islet of Es Colomer and the bay of Pollença; the sources give no recommended time. Add the time for the drive along the Ma-2210, which Click Mallorca recommends seeing on a full excursion of about 4 hours.

When is Mirador Es Colomer least crowded?
